What you need:
We have applied a second skin patch to your arm. Do not remove this patch for up to 24 hours. It is completely normal for blood and plasma to fill the patch following your appointment, this is part of the healing process.
Only remove the patch if...
Try to keep the bandage as clean and dry as possible until it's time to remove it.
Showering while wearing second skin is fine, but it's best to keep the time spent in the shower to a minimum. Bathing, swimming, or fully submerging a tattoo covered in second skin is strongly discouraged and can affect your final healed result.
Avoid direct sunlight for the entirety of the healing process
Leave the patch on for 3-4 days, unless your artist suggests otherwise during the appointment.
Make sure your hands are cleaned using antibacterial soap before removing the patch. It is easiest to remove under warm water. Peel up an edge and carefully pull away from your body. Once removed, gently clean your tattoo with the antimicrobial soap. Make sure all plasma and ink is washed off of the tattoo. Be sure to remove all soap residue from the area. Let your tattoo air dry. Do Not use a towel to dry your tattoo.
If you have any reaction after taking off the first patch, do not hesitate to reach out to us by phone or email.
Minor redness after removing the patch is normal. If you are still unsure if you are having a reaction, please reach out to us.
After 3-4 days, remove the patch the same as the first time. Clean throughly with antimicrobial soap and let air dry.
Next, apply a very thin layer of hustle butter to your tattoo. You want the tattoo to still be able to "breathe" in order to heal.
Your tattoo may begin to peel and become itchy during this last step of the healing process. DO NOT itch or pick at your healing tattoo. Doing so may affect your final result poorly. We suggest lightly patting the area with clean hands if the itch is very necessary.
Continue to clean gently with unscented antibacterial soap and moisturize lightly 2-3 times per day until your tattoo is fully healed and no longer peeling.
We hope you have enjoyed your tattoo experience and love your new artwork! We always love to see healed pieces and would greatly appreciate a picture at any point after your tattoo is healed.
We greatly appreciate your support and would love to see you back!
